can't say enough good things about Dona Lola. Clean - comfy rooms and a beautiful building. Staff are amazing - Roberto gave a great tour and shared interesting local insights. Tasty meals - especially the steak, and the lunch menu is a deal. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and bar. Convenient location close to the port of Bilbao.
Totally recommend!

The accommodation was quiet, nicely cleaned and overall welcoming. The hotel has amazing charm. The bathroom looked like brand new. The local restaurant was the best option in the area. Free parking was handy for longer term business travellers.
We felt totally relaxed, nothing was too much trouble.

Fabulous building, friendly staff, good breakfast, adequate evening meal, lovely bedroom with comfy chairs and balcony.
Empty atmosphere, remote village, no soap, only shower gel, no basin plug. Oh, and a 1-star hotel with a bar?

The hotel had it all - a charming restaurant, a lovely garden, and even a terrace. I especially enjoyed the continental breakfast, it made me feel like I was on a fancy European vacation.
Oh, and let's not forget the highlight of my stay - the airport being sooo close. Just lovely.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel located near a popular hiking area. The location allowed me to explore the beautiful nature surrounding the hotel and indulge in peaceful walks. The room was clean and comfortable, with lovely easy chairs and a balcony offering a delightful view. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring a warm and welcoming stay. The breakfast provided was delicious, providing a perfect start to the day. the hotel exudes an old-world charm and offers a serene escape amidst nature.
The hotel's website lacked detailed information in English, making it slightly inconvenient for non-Spanish speakers.

The hotel had a restaurant, bar, and a garden! I enjoyed their continental breakfast and the free private parking was a bonus. The staff were friendly and the terrace was lovely.
I guess it would have been nice if the bar was equipped with a unicorn that mixes cocktails. But I suppose I can't have everything.

The place was nice and clean, and the room was comfy with a lovely bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Roberto. The hotel had a beautiful garden area where you can enjoy a drink or a meal. The location was great, with a pleasant walk to a nearby waterfall.
The hotel lacked atmosphere as it was empty of other guests. The village where it was located was quite remote and not much to do around.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the restaurant. It was like stepping into a culinary wonderland, where every dish was a work of art. I felt like I was in the heart of a bustling city, but with the added charm of a quaint garden and terrace. The continental breakfast was the perfect start to my day, giving me the energy I needed to explore Izarra and its surroundings.
Limited English communication.

Loved the "atmosphere" of an empty hotel. Remote village was a "great" location. Soap? Who needs it, when I have shower gel? No plug? So innovative! And who needs a useful website anyway?
I just loved everything! Absolutely nothing to complain about.
